Introduced at the 2026 Premium Cigar Association trade show, Amar was created following the major 2025 fire that damaged part of AJ Fernandez’s cigar factory in Estelí. The cigar was conceived as a thank-you to the people and cigar community who supported the company during its recovery.

The name Amar reflects AJ Fernandez’s Cuban and Lebanese heritage. In Spanish, amar means “to love,” while in Arabic the name is associated with “moon.” AJ Fernandez has described the concept behind the cigar as one of reflection, gratitude, personal growth, and new beginnings.

The Toro measures 6 inches with a substantial 56 ring gauge, giving it a broad mouthfeel, generous smoke production, and enough length for the blend to develop gradually. It is one of four Amar formats released in 20-count boxes.
