Perla del Mar
Perla del Mar began as a Cuban cigar brand in 1905. Today, J.C. Newman produces the revived brand at its PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The name means “Pearl of the Sea,” a reference to the Caribbean waters surrounding Cuba.
Perla del Mar cigars have a soft box-pressed shape and come in three blends. Shade uses an Ecuadorian Shade wrapper for a milder profile. Corojo uses an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, while Maduro features Connecticut Broadleaf. All three pair their wrappers with Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos.
